Tijani App

A quiet, focused space for your daily wird

The Tijani App is a simple, distraction-free tool for keeping your daily wird in one place. No clutter, no adverts and no sign-in; just the awrad, clearly laid out and ready whenever you sit down to recite.

It was built as an ongoing sadaqa; free to use, and made to stay quietly out of the way so the dhikr can take the foreground.

Available in English & French

How it is laid out

The three litanies

The path rests on three obligatory awrad, all built from three expressions drawn from the Qur'an and the Sunnah; seeking forgiveness (Istighfar), prayers upon the Prophet, peace be upon him (Salat ala an-Nabi), and the testification of faith (La ilaha illa Allah).

01

Lazim

al-Wird al-Lazim

Recited on your own and quietly, twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening. The morning window runs from Subh until around midday, the evening from Asr until Isha.

  1. 100× Istighfar
  2. 100× Salat al-Fatih
  3. 100× La ilaha illa Allah

Sealed after the hundredth with "Muhammadun Rasulullah, alayhi salamullah."

02

Wazifa

al-Wazifa

Performed at least once a day, ideally aloud and in congregation. When kept twice daily, it is prayed alongside the Lazim.

  1. 30× Istighfar (al-Adhim)
  2. 50× Salat al-Fatih
  3. 100× La ilaha illa Allah
  4. 12× Jawharat al-Kamal

Where the conditions for Jawharat al-Kamal cannot be met, it is replaced with 20× Salat al-Fatih.

03

Friday Haylala

Dhikr al-Jumu'a · al-'Asru

On Fridays only, in congregation where possible, between Asr and Maghrib; the best moment is just before the Maghrib adhan. If the window passes, it is not made up.

  1. 1200× La ilaha illa Allah

Kept at 1000, 1200 or 1600 times, and sealed with "Sayyiduna Muhammadun Rasulullah, alayhi salamullah."

Before you begin

A few adab

The wird is taken with the authorisation of a muqaddam; once given, a few simple manners carry it.

  • Make the intention first
  • Be in a state of wudu
  • Clean body, clothes and place
  • Cover the awrah as for prayer
  • Sit, facing the qibla
  • Recite so you can just hear yourself
  • Keep silent throughout, but for necessity
  • Take the Wazifa and Friday Haylala in congregation where you can
