DOT is a creative guild which aims to give British Muslim creatives a platform to showcase their work, a space to share dialogue and the ability for greater networking.
Islamic civilisation is no stranger to the arts world, with an expansive history of innovation and refinement across the various creative platforms. On a larger scale, Islamic art has had a lasting, positive contribution across the world.
DOT wants give a voice to the Muslims of today who continue to practice and redefine these arts, as a means to explore their faith, identity and the frequent changes of the world itself. The opportunity for these artists to be heard is limited, and this is what we want to change.
DOT plans to regularly hold exhibitions, networking sessions and workshops from a plethora of artists to build up the creative Muslim community together. We believe that being seen and heard will not only develop ourselves, but will benefit artists as a whole, just like the Islamic art world has done for generations.
